As a part of what is being described as “the largest-ever expansion of its beverage menu,” Taco Bell announced Friday that it is rolling out six new drinks available exclusively at the fast food chain. The most notable new soda: a sangria flavored Mountain Dew.
Real sangria has one important element that Mountain Dew Sangrita Blast is missing: alcohol. (Sorry, fourth meal enthusiasts.)
Some consumers seem to like the concept:
Taco Bell just blew my mind with the new Sangrita Blast Mountain Dew…its ALMOST as good as Baja Blast

Others appear less sold on the idea:
Researcher NPD Group, which tracks the foodservice and restaurant industry, estimates that about 56% of fast food orders included a drink. Unique beverage choices could be a crucial part of attracting and maintaining diners.
Other new beverages include Diet Mountain Dew Baja Blast, Mazanita Sol (apple-flavored), two Brisk tea drinks, and Sobe Lifewater Yumberry Pomegranate.
